Multiple cursors feature has been introduced also to IntelliJ Idea in version 13.1.
This feature has been inspired by Sublime Text and it was the top voted feature in Idea.
How it works?
Press Shift+Alt+left click
You can see multiple cursors and they will perform the same operation as you start typing.
